Class Structure

Siouxzy blends somatics (flowing, explorations and practices that focus on sensing the body from within to cultivate a sense of embodied awareness,) with more traditional Hatha yoga.

The class is designed to help you build strength, increase mobility, release stress, trauma and tension, and explore meditation and breathing techniques, which can help support your well-being and bring about deep peace and relaxation. You will be invited to tune into the feedback your body is giving you, space to explore what you feel, and encouragement to drop into compassion and curiosity, and away from expectations and judgment, assisting the journey towards releasing stress and tension held in the body.

Practices

You will be encouraged to find moments of stillness, inviting you to unite mind, body, and breath to connect with the quiet space within you through:

  • Breath practice (pranayama)
  • Mindful warm ups
  • Postures (asana)
  • Alignment exploration
  • Meditation
  • Relaxation
