Class Structure

Classes are individually tailored to suit the group or individual and are either held in your establishment or a separate venue can be arranged.

The classes are designed to help adolescents build strength, increase mobility, release tension, and explore meditation and breathing techniques, which can help support their well-being and bring about deep peace and relaxation. Classes take into account the Dan Siegel model of the Seven Essential Mental Activities for teens:

  1. Sleep
  2. Focus on tasks
  3. Connecting with other people
  4. Down time
  5. Play
  6. Physical
  7. Time in
Dan Siegel's Seven Essential Activities

Practices

Students will be invited to check in with how they are feeling and their body, which can begin the journey to understanding themselves and connecting positively with those around them. Assessing each group and individual’s needs, classes may include:

  • Mindful warm ups
  • Strengthening Postures
  • Stretching postures
  • Breath work
  • Meditation
  • Relaxation

Booking and Further Details

I would very much welcome the opportunity to talk to you about Teen Yoga in more detail, including sharing further research on yoga’s impact on achievement at school and potential funding opportunities to cover the costs of classes. If appropriate I may be able to offer a taster class and can offer charitable classes to raise money for the Teen Yoga Foundation. If you are a parent wishing for your school to take up yoga, please send them this link and encourage them to contact me, or ask me to make contact with your school.
